Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Spendary is an offline-first personal and business expense manager by Spanix. This policy explains what information is handled when you use the app and the choices available to you.

2. Your financial data

Your financial and business records, quick-add templates, saved views, and preferences are stored locally on your device.
Spendary does not require an account.
User-entered financial content is never sent to our analytics services.

3. Analytics and diagnostics

Spendary uses Google Analytics for Firebase, Firebase Crashlytics, and Firebase Performance Monitoring to improve the app. They may process:

Installation identifiers, screens and features used, and session activity.
App version, device model, operating system, and approximate country.
Performance measurements and crash or error details.
Analytics events never include user-entered financial information.
Spendary does not use analytics for advertising and disables advertising-identifier collection.

4. Storage and encrypted backups

Your data remains on your device unless you choose to back it up or transfer it.
Backups are encrypted with your password and may be saved locally, to Google Drive, or to iCloud.
Cloud backup uses your Google or Apple authorization and does not create a Spendary account.
Nearby-device transfer sends an encrypted package directly over your local network.
Spendary never receives your backup password and cannot recover it.

5. Device permissions

Device authentication protects the app and sensitive actions; biometric data remains on your device.
Camera and photo access is used only for receipts or Spendary transfer codes.
Local-network access is used only for encrypted nearby-device transfers.

6. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell your personal or financial data.
Google processes limited analytics, crash, and performance information on our behalf.
Google Drive and Apple iCloud process encrypted backups only when enabled.
Files are exported or shared only when you choose.

7. Retention and your choices

Local data remains until you clear it, delete your profile, uninstall the app, or erase the device.
You control cloud backup and may revoke access through Google or Apple.
Delete exported or cloud backup files separately if desired.
Spendary is not intended for children under 13.

8. Data deletion requests

You can delete your Personal and Business data from inside the app. The “Delete profile & all data” action removes the locally stored profile data after confirmation and device authentication. Cloud backups and exported files are controlled separately by you and must be deleted from their storage location if you want them removed.

For a deletion or privacy request, email spendary@spanix.io. Please do not include financial amounts, transaction details, backup passwords, or backup files in your message.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information. No device, storage method, or electronic transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Spendary evolves. If changes are significant, the revised date will be shown at the top of this page.
