1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Spendary, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the application.

2. Purpose of the app

Spendary is an offline-first tool for recording, organizing, and reviewing personal and business financial information. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter.

3. Your data, backups, and transfers

You are responsible for maintaining accurate records and a usable backup of important data.
Spendary and Spanix cannot recover or reset a forgotten encrypted-backup password.
Verify an important backup before clearing app data, changing devices, or uninstalling the app.
You control exported files and are responsible for storing them securely. Before a nearby-device transfer, confirm that the receiving device is the intended device.

4. App access and optional cloud services

Spendary does not require a Spendary account. If you choose to use Google Drive or iCloud for backups, you authorize the relevant provider to store your encrypted backup. Those services are governed by the provider’s own terms, privacy policy, availability, and storage limits.

5. Security and your responsibility

Keep your device, backup password, and any app-lock method secure.
Use the app only for lawful purposes and do not interfere with its operation or attempt unauthorized access.
Verify important records and calculations before relying on them for business, tax, or financial decisions.

6. Not financial advice

Spendary is an organizational tool. It does not provide financial, accounting, tax, investment, or legal advice. Any decision you make using the app remains your responsibility.

7. Availability and updates

We may improve, modify, suspend, or discontinue features. Updates may be required to continue using some functionality. We aim for reliable service, but the app and optional cloud integrations may be interrupted, unavailable, or contain errors.

8. Intellectual property

Spendary, its design, branding, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive right to use the app; they do not transfer ownership.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spendary, Spanix, and their providers are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from use of the app, loss of device data, unavailable integrations, or decisions based on app information.

10. Termination and misuse

You may stop using Spendary at any time. We may restrict access when reasonably necessary to protect users, comply with law, or address misuse.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Spendary evolves. The revised date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms where permitted by law.
